BUTTERFLY PIZZA BOX CARD SET

This card box set has a mini “pizza” box to hold the cards in, and the box is decorated with a pretty butterfly belly band. The box holds a total of six, 4” x 4” cards and coordinating envelopes. This tutorial includes the instructions on how to make the mini “pizza” box, three different card designs (two are made of each), and the envelopes for the 4” x 4” cards. The set features the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set and English Garden Designer Series Paper. This would make a great card class, too.

The tutorial for this creative ensemble, which was designed by Christy Fulk, can be found at Craft Project Central.

"FLOWERING FIELDS" FOR AUNT BETTY

My favorite stamp set during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration promotion earlier this year was Flowering Fields.  The assorted floral images in that set are so perfect for a set of cards, which is exactly what I wanted to make yesterday.  I learned last week that aunt Betty has been sending cards (who knew that my sweet 90-year-old aunt ever sent cards), so I wanted to make a simple set for her.

Although the design of these cards is clean and simple, I nearly went blind coloring the images--they are kind of small.  Seriously, I had blurry vision, so don't look too closely or you'll see that some color landed outside the lines.  I think aunt Betty will be very pleased with this set of cards, and I tried to choose versatile sentiments that will (hopefully) allow her to find the perfect note card for most people/occasions/events, etc.  Following is the boxed set that I will personally deliver very soon:

POP OF PINK

Sharing today a card that features Stampin' Up!'s brand new Pop of Pink designer paper and washi tape, as well as Melon Mambo twine.  This has already been a very popular designer paper among demonstrators--rightfully so.  It's gorgeous!

If you're like me,  you're anxious for June 1 to roll around and the opportunity to order some of the brand new products, but it's good to have the time to work on my wish list!  ;-)  It's not easy trying to decide what will be on the first order and what will have to wait.  Stampin' Up!'s new catalog is a great one!

CARD CANDY FLIP BOOK

Today I'm excited to share a sneak peek photo of the project that I designed for Craft Project Central's May session of awesome project/ensemble tutorials.  Several years ago, "card candy" was quite a popular deal for stampers and card-makers and, since I really enjoyed the convenience of card candy, I decided to design a flip book that was decorated with removable card candy and embellishments that some lucky recipient could thoroughly enjoy.  The other reason that I fell in love with the idea of this flip book is that it encourages the recipient to not only create beautiful cards but to also put them in the mail to brighten someone's day.  It's kind of sad that social media has left many mailboxes with fewer cards each year, so let's change that!  Following is the introduction that I wrote for my project:
Create a flip book, complete with elements that flip and open, with card candy that the recipient can remove and use to decorate note and greeting cards.  One of the “flip” elements is a glassine bag that holds twine and jewels to further decorate the cards.  The flip book includes a pocket to hold an instructional note for the recipient, and there’s another pocket to hold additional embellishments, punched or die-cut shapes, stamped sentiments, etc.  This tutorial includes eight assorted card candy decorative layers, including the one on the front of the flip book, which can be lifted from the book and adhered to a card.  This is a fabulous project to make for another stamper/card-maker, and it would also be a great stamp camp project.

As usual, I will be giving a FREE one-month Craft Project Central subscription to a lucky winner.  To be entered in the drawing, just click THIS LINK and leave a comment where you see the sneak peek photo of my project.  It's really that simple!  On Wednesday, May 25th, I will draw the winning name and announce it right here on my blog, so be sure to come back on the 25th to see if you are the winner.  You can also start your subscription . . . find all of the details at Craft Project Central.

This is the season for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and more. And there’s no better way to celebrate a milestone than with a party! In this tutorial you’ll make a fun banner and treat bag and a beautiful card using exclusive Stampin’ Up! framelits and thinlits. Learn how to customize your glimmer paper, treat bags, and designer series paper as well for a unique look that will please the party-goers. This project is designed for an anniversary, but it’s easily customizable for any occasion by simply changing the designer series paper and the sentiments on the banner and card.

SKETCH CHALLENGE #59 - CARD #2

I had another stamped flower on my table, so I decided to create another card for Creating Pretty Cards - Sketch Challenge #59.

I chose to color a purple flower this time and, again, brushed it with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.  Stampin' Up! products featured on this card include sequins, silver metallic Baker's twine, and images from the brand new Love & Affection stamp set.  Why don't you create a card for this sketch challenge?  Find details about it and upload your creation HERE.

CREATING PRETTY CARDS - SKETCH CHALLENGE #59

I always look forward to Craft Project Central's monthly Creating Pretty Cards - Sketch Challenge, and this month's sketch, designed by Monika Davis, is such a pretty one.  You can find Monika's FREE tutorial HERE for Sketch Challenge #59:

And this is the card that I created for the challenge:

My card features the following Stampin' Up! products:
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Vellum, Peekaboo Peach, Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Basic Black Archival, Peekaboo Peach, Always Artichoke
Stamp Set:  You've Got This
Sizzix:  Fluttering embossing folder
Punches:  Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly, Tree Builder
Accessories:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Iced Rhinestones, Gold Metallic Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Aqua Painter, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush

Admittedly, I haven't been as fond of the metallic thread as I thought I would be, but what worked for me while making this card was to put adhesive on the Vellum cardstock and then lay the thread onto the adhesive as I created a crazy design with it.  This worked beautifully, and then the cut flower was placed on top.  I think that I will be using the metallic thread more often now!  The flower . . . it was stamped on watercolor paper, and I used an Aqua Painter to color the image with Peekaboo Peach and Always Artichoke ink.  After the image was dry, I brushed it with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.  Oh, how I love the Wink of Stella!

Did you know that you can participate in the Creating Pretty Cards - Sketch Challenge #59?  Yes, indeed, you can!  All that you need to do is follow the tutorial to create a card, and then upload your card HERE.  At the end of the month if there are at least 10 cards submitted for the challenge, a winner will be selected to receive a FREE one-month subscription to Craft Project Central.  I hope that you are now inspired to play along!

NOT YOUR ORDINARY BOX OF CARDS

Check out this “zigzag” card set! This tutorial includes four cards, custom envelopes and beautiful box to hold them. Each card uses the same template design for the inside but they are all so different and one is even a shaker card. If you have the Envelope Punch Board, then making the envelopes and matching box is easy. If you don’t have the Envelope Punch Board…get one from your favorite Demonstrator because there’s so much that you can do with it! This foursome includes a Sneak Peek from the new Catalog with In Colors, stamp set and the new product to make shaker cards. Love it!

SITTING HERE

One of Stampin' Up!'s new stamp sets that demos were able to preorder is named Sitting Here, and it was the first one that I opened when my order arrived.  Actually, I only pre-ordered two stamp sets, so my options were limited.  ;-)

Isn't that swing adorable?  I don't know if people really hang a swing that size from a tree branch, but I borrowed the inspiration for this card from a creation by Angela Lovel that I spied on Pinterest.  I liked that she used the tree image from In the Meadow to create the overhanging branches, and I also used the grass image from that set along the bottom of my stamped layer.  Sitting Here has some really fun images to work with (some nice sentiments, too), including an assortment of pillows, and there's even a dog, cat, and bird!  I thought I had stamped a bird on the swing on this card, but he must have been on a different card . . . one that I either mailed or misplaced.  Or maybe he flew away.

STEPPER BOX & CARD

This delightful box is called either a Stepper Box or a Fantasy Box. No matter what you call it, though, it is a fun way to package a variety of small items, including jewelry, chocolates, or other small trinkets. This project features the lovely Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and includes a matching card. It can be used for many different occasions including birthdays, Mother’s Day, and more. Once you learn how to make this box, you’ll want to make it for every occasion simply by changing the Designer Series Paper! Great for clubs, classes, or crafting with a friend.

A CARTON OF STRAWBERRIES (BOX CARD)

Sharing today a cute strawberry box card that I made for aunt Betty for Mother's Day.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the shapes for this card, and the cut file (designed by Lori Whitlock) is available in the Silhouette Design Store.  Once assembled, I realized that there wasn't a place to sign the card, so I created a mini card that slipped over the back of the "carton".

Isn't that carton adorable?  I loved that this card was a breeze to assemble because I was running out of time to get it in the mail; hopefully, it was received the day before Mother's Day.  I used markers to ink the strawberry image from Stampin' Up!'s Tart & Tangy (retired) stamp set to decorate the mini card, which was kept very simple and finished with a linen thread bow.  Now that this card has left me with a strawberry craving, I need to go out and find a gallon of berries!

BRYSON'S BEER MUG

Yesterday was my nephew's 21st birthday, so I'm sharing today the card that I made for him.

Oh, to be 21 again.  Not because it's the legal drinking age (I was legal at 18, so some things do change), but to have the opportunity to re-live all of those years in between would be nice.

My card features assorted circle punches and Stampin' Up!'s Number of Years stamp set and coordinating dies.

PSA:  Always drink responsibly!!!!

SCENTSY'S "ROAD LESS TRAVELED" WARMER

Although I love Scentsy products and have been a Scentsy consultant for the past six years, I hardly ever give a nod on my blog to the awesome products, other than a small mention in the right sidebar.  Each month, Scentsy offers a brand new scent and warmer--available during the month at a 10% discount, and this month's warmer--Road Less Traveled--is just so darn cute that it deserves a dedicated mention.  Check out the flyer for the warmer and the Scent of the Month - Pacific Daydream.

The flyer is quite small, but you can get more information about the warmer and the Pacific Daydream Scent of the Month on my web site.  Besides the fact that this warmer is incredibly adorable, the other reason that I am posting about it is because it becomes available today and I kind of expect that it will sell out (or end up backordered) quickly.  If you don't have a Scentsy consultant and want one of these warmers for your home (and maybe one for a friend), you can order from my web site at www.regina-andari.scentsy.us.  I even have an open party already--MAY PARTY.  If you click on the "My Open Parties" link below my picture on my web site, you should see the MAY PARTY.  Whatever you do, don't drag your feet on this one!  If you have any questions or need assistance, let me know!

BEAR HUGS FOR MOM & DAD

Today begins a brand new month of awesome project tutorials at Craft Project Central.  First up is this super cute ensemble featuring the Bear Hugs stamp set and coordinating dies.  Following is the official introduction for this project:

These projects are designed for kids to make with assistance for Mother's Day and Father's Day.  They will also work for birthdays and other special occasions.  Included in this tutorial are the directions to make two cards, a mini scrapbook, a gift box boat, and treat holder tent.  Think of all the fun you could have making these projects with the little crafters in your life--not to mention the joy these gifts will bring to the mom or dad who get them!  These projects would also be great for a kids craft class!
