STARS, SPARKLERS, AND FUN FOR THE 4TH!

Show your spirit for America this 4th of July with the fun décor shown in the sneak peek photo to the left! You’ll learn how to make the quick and fun banner garland that you can hang in just about any spot--across a mirror or maybe across a framed picture or mantel and then add the fabulous jar full of Stars and Sparklers!! The stars are an easy way to add some 3-D, and the Sparklers are a quick, super pop of fun to this display! And, of course, the card adds the perfect finishing touch to give this ensemble as a gift to someone special!  The tutorial for this fun and festive project, which was designed by Julie Beltramo, can be found at Craft Project Central.

CLEAN & SIMPLE "SPRINKLES OF LIFE"

There's something about this new stamp set (and coordinating punch) that makes me want to keep the project design clean and simple.  Maybe the petite punched pieces have something to do with that. One thing is for certain . . . a really precious set of cards could easily be created with this set! It's difficult to tell from the photo, but the tree top was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals, and I let two of the branches overlap.  That pretty yellow background is from the Cherry on Top DSP stack, and my card stock colors are Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White, and Real Red.  Other Stampin' Up! products featured on this card include Painted Petals twine, rhinestone jewels, Fringe Scissors, and Petite Pairs stamp set.

"MAKE-IT-SNAPPY-MONDAY"

Today's MISM project features a brand new stamp set--Sprinkles of Life--which you have probably been seeing a lot on the web.  It's one of the new products that demonstrators were able to pre-order from the new Stampin' Up! catalog, and it's also the Ronald McDonald House Charities® stamp set.  With each purchase, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to RMHC®.  I think this might be the first time a charity set has been part of the demo pre-order, which is great because it puts the charity set in the spotlight.  There is also a coordinating punch for this set (Tree Builder) that makes it all the more fun.  Other Stampin' Up! products featured on my card include:

Card Stock:  Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Fringe Scissors

"SWEET LAUGHTER"

I overlooked sharing this card earlier that I designed for Mother's Day but, hopefully, late is better than never.  Stampin' Up!'s Sweet Laughter stamp set is such a cute one but, as you can see from this card, some of the images can be used to create a more mature design--and one with a vintage flair.  Time is running out to get this stamp set before it's gone for good after June 2nd.

HATS OFF FOR THE MEN

If you’re looking for some ‘formal attire’ for a card ensemble gift set – This is it! With Father’s Day coming up, graduations, or weddings, this little set is sure to please! You’ll learn how to make the Top Hat, which you can use as just a fun décor piece, or fill it with a special treat. Plus you’ll make six simple Note Cards that will be perfect for all those masculine card needs. And those Note Cards are a perfect fit into the simple, but sophisticated Suit Box. Wrap it all up for the most stylish masculine gift!
I love this ensemble--it is absolutely stunning and . . . well . . . formal.  Julie Beltramo did a wonderful job designing this project, and her complete tutorial can be found at Craft Project Central.  All of the projects this month are awesome!  Have you subscribed yet?
