DIGITAL "JOYFUL TIMES" HOLIDAY CARD
I {heart} Stampin' Up!'s MDS2 software--almost as much as I {heart} Cheerwine or peppermint Ice Cubes chewing gum, and that's a lot of love! On the very last day of Stampin' Up!'s discount pricing on professional printing about ten days ago, I decided to design a holiday card, and I am totally kicking myself for not doing this sooner--or ordering more cards during the sale. Still, it's quite a relief to know that I have a small stash of holiday cards ready to send. Did you know that when you order an MDS print job (cards) through Stampin' Up!, they come with envelopes--nice square-flap envelopes???? Oh yes, they do! The card that I designed features the following digital images/content: Joyful Times embellishment kit, Taffeta Trimmings, Wishes & Greetings stamp set, Eyelet Border punch, Lots of Tags punch shape, and Christmas Lodge stamp set. You'll notice rhinestone jewels on my card--I added those to the card prior to taking the photos.
Front of card |
Inside of card Being able to fully customize every square inch of the card is AWESOME! |
Have you purchased MDS2? If not, what are you waiting for?????? I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't own this software! In case you are considering the purchase, I highly recommend that you select MDS2+ because it is TRULY the best value with all of the image content that you get. I already had a LOT of digital content on the previous version of MDS that I was using and, even though some of the MDS2+ content was a duplicate to what I already had, it was still a better value for me to bite the bullet and get all of that fabulous content that was brand new for me. Did you know that Stampin' Up! releases new digital content EVERY Tuesday? You will never run out of images to work with and, if you're like me, you'll continuously discover images that you didn't remember (or know) that you had. And lest I forget to mention . . . all of the digital content will coordinate with the Stampin' Up! color products that you already own.

"MAKE-IT-SNAPPY-MONDAY"
It's time for MISM, and I have a really simple card to share today! For quite some time, I have been trying to decide if I wanted Stampin' Up!'s "Take Care" stamp set but, of course, I wanted it! It arrived last week, and I finally had the chance yesterday to ink some of the images. You'll notice that my bird eggs are round instead of oval, and that's because I wanted eggs in the nest that had some dimension to them and that meant using the jumbo pearls. All in all, I love this little stamp set and how easy it is to make a clean and simple card with it. I hope you like it, too!

"MAKE-IT-SNAPPY-MONDAY"
Today's MISM project is a square card (no surprise, huh) that features a couple of new Stampin' Up! products . . . Mitten Punch (for the tulips and leaves) and Holiday Frame embossing folder. I can't take credit for the tulip idea because it was featured in the October issue of "Stampin' Success", but I can take credit for making my tulips dimensional with a coordinating color of card stock and dry-embossing. It's always fun to find clever ways to use punches! We'll have mittens in the winter and tulips in the spring! Other Stampin' Up! products used to create this card include the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Jewelry Tag punch, Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon, "Fabulous Phrases" stamp set, white Baker's twine, rhinestone jewels, and the following card stock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals, Wisteria Wonder, and Elegant Eggplant.

A WINNER FOR MY GIVEAWAY . . . AND A LITTLE "POSTAGE DUE"
I had promised to post the winning name today for the FREE one-month subscription to Craft Project Central, and I apologize for the delay. This has not been a typical week! I didn't want to just post a winning name without giving you something to see, and I have to admit that this is a card that I designed for my class this month--and rejected. Following are the Stampin' Up! products used to create the card: "Postage Due" stamp set, Whisper White, Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, and Glossy White card stock, silver brad, Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details (this stuff is soooooooo pretty), StazOn ink, Stampin' Sponges, and Summer Starfruit, Marina Mist, and Pacific Point ink. I don't remember the name of the ribbon, but it was recently purchased from the Clearance Rack. I almost forgot to mention the Chevron embossing folder and Postage Stamp punch! And now . . . selected by random.org (true random number generator), the winner of the FREE one-month subscription is Laura who posted this comment: "Love your project, Regina. I'm crazy about that paper. My prayers are with your grandmother as she heals and also with your dad through his surgery. We are enjoying our trip--- my info and pictures when I return." Congratulations, Laura! I'll contact you for the information needed for the subscription. I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to post a comment! Comments are few and far between, but they are always appreciated!

"MAKE-IT-SNAPPY-MONDAY" AND A GIVEAWAY!!!!
The photo of today's MISM card is a bit dark--sorry about that. I used Stampin' Up!'s "International Bazaar" designer paper and Postage Stamp punch to make the fabric-looking squares. The sentiment is from the retired "Happiest Birthday Wishes" hostess set (love this set!!!), and I also used retired hemp twine and a "Sweet Stitches" designer brad. My card stock colors are Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White.
Since I'm a designer for Craft Project Central again this month, I have a FREE one-month subscription to give away. The only thing you need to do to be entered in the drawing for this awesome freebie is post a comment to this blog post. Be sure to leave your email addy so I will know how to contact you if you win. A winner will be selected and announced on Friday, September 14th.
