"B.Y.O.P." BOXED CARD SET

This project includes five over-the-top cards that each show a different method for holding a gift card. With this project, we explore using the B.Y.O.P. stamp set and Adventure Bound Designer Series Papers to create five beautiful cards and a lovely storage box to keep them in. You will get the opportunity to use each and every image included in the B.Y.O.P. stamp set to create cards for five different occasions.

"KINDA ECLECTIC" SCRAPLING

Do you remember scraplings . . . cards created from scraps of card stock?  Some time ago (a couple of years, maybe), I really enjoyed making scraplings.  It's nice to just pick up a piece of card stock, fold it in half, and turn it into a card.  The best part is that all kinds of embellishments and layers can hang over the edges since there will be plenty of extra space in the envelope.  Stampin' Up! products featured on my card include:

Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Ink:  White Craft, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Stamp Set:  Kinda Eclectic
Accessories:  Pearl jewels

Kinda Eclectic is such a fun stamp set, and it made it possible to make this card in 5 minutes or less.  I began by stamping the leaf images with white Craft ink, and then I stamped them again with Soft Suede.  The dotted image was stamped with Crumb Cake ink, and the Craft ink was used once more to stamp the sentiment onto Early Espresso card stock.  It looks like it's going to be a rainy weekend, so I might be whipping up a few more scraplings.  Fun!

"MAKE-IT-SNAPPY-MONDAY"

Today's MISM project features Stampin' Up!'s Moon Lake stamp set.  I stamped the image onto Naturals Ivory card stock and colored it with Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, and Baked Brown Sugar markers.  I also used an Aqua Painter with the Soft Sky, Hello Honey, and Crumb Cake ink pads to lightly color parts of the stamped image.  After tearing the card stock, I sponged Soft Suede ink along the edges and then layered it onto a torn piece of Soft Sky card stock.  The sentiment, which is from the Wetlands stamp set was stamped onto Soft Sky card stock and then cut with an oval punch, and I adhered the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  To finish the card, I wrapped twine around the top and tied the ends in a bow.

MOTHER'S DAY MEMORY FOLDER & CARD

Sometimes you need more than a card to express how much your mom means to you.  This beautiful little folder tells her five different ways, and it doubles as a hanging organizer to keep business and appointment cards, coupons, or little mementos.  The pockets are the perfect size for Project Life cards, so this can also be used as a Brag Book later.  Create a coordinating card and a napkin holder or gift box topper to make Mom’s day extra special.  This would make a fun “class with purchase” or a girls’ night out event.

ALL-STAR SHOE-SHAPED CARDS

I wanted to send a cute card to both of my great-nephews and, while there wasn't really a reason for sending shoe-shaped cards, I thought the image would be a fun one to work with.  Last Sunday, we hosted a family picnic at the property (in the NC foothills) that we purchased last Fall, and it was a perfect, beautiful day.  Our family definitely needs more get-togethers like that!  Since we did a lot of walking, I thought the shoes might be kinda/sorta appropriate.

But why did I want to send cards to my great-nephews?  Because they packed a few bottles of Cheerwine to bring and share with me.  I often joke about not sharing "my" Cheerwine with them, and it was so, so sweet of them to want to share with me.  Like I said, since the day was spent outdoors and we did a lot of walking, I thought the tennis shoe cards would work.  I found the image on my Cricut Home Organization cartridge, designed the shaped card on Cricut Design Space, and cut two cards with my Cricut Explore.  A retired Stampin' Up! star punch was used to cut the star from Bermuda Bay card stock, and Real Red card stock was used for the upper part of the shoes.  I chose the color red for the shoes because Cheerwine (the drink and label) is red.

UNDER THE WEATHER?

This cute little pup is en route to my cousin, who has been in the hospital with the flu.  A dog holding an umbrella might be a stretch, but I needed an easy project today.  It seems that no matter what I try to do, I keep hitting brick walls since some of my files and programs still are missing from the computer that I'm using.  This has been one of those days of heavy sighs, falling shoulders, and me wanting to scream or cry.  At least I'm not suffering with the flu, so I turned on my Cricut Explore, designed this easy card, and started cutting and gluing.  There are so many layers on this card that the pup doesn't stand on his feet, but he stands nicely with his nose to the ground.  That's kind of fitting for an "under the weather" card, isn't it?
