With her Freestyle Fridays post last week, Julie issued a mission for me to create a thank you project and use tissue paper . . . somehow . . . in my creation. After giving it some thought, I decided to see if my new "Blossom" punch would cut through the thin tissue paper. I stacked eight layers of tissue paper, with copy-weight paper on the bottom, and it punched beautifully. I then laid the punched flowers in a single layer on card board and sprayed them with a pink shimmer mist. If you have Stampin' Up!'s Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz, it should work nicely to color the punched tissue flowers. After the flowers dried, I stacked them and placed a brad in the center, which was later covered with the yellow designer button. I know my button looks orange but, for some reason, my camera couldn't pick up the yellow color. Other Stampin' Up! products used to create this square card include: Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock, "Rue Des Fleurs" stamp set, "Twitterpated" designer paper, tag punches, Baja Breeze pleated satin ribbon, and Sizzix Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits die. Be careful on this Friday the 13th, have a great weekend, and be sure to visit me on Monday for my "Make-It-Snappy-Monday" project!
